David Owens

As President, David oversees the franchise consulting and business development department. As head of the company’s operational and development teams, he oversees functions including franchise marketing, sales, pre-qualification, finance, real estate analysis, operational systems and franchisee relations.

From 1988-2003, David was Vice President and co-founder of Hi-Energy Weight Control Centers, where he expanded his company from a start-up to over 100 locations. Mr. Owens authored and implemented successful sales training presentations which produced a nationwide closing ratio of 87%. He spearheaded many successful advertising campaigns i.e. newspapers, radio, television and direct mail. The company posted annual revenues of over $15,000,000 in the last 5 years under his guidance. Mr. Owens has a thorough understanding and experience with the various components of successful franchise transactions including U.F.O.C.’s, Franchise agreements, leases, financing, operational systems, and insurance.

Thomas Crook

As Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Thomas’s leadership has been integral to the success of Franlocity. Thomas oversees functions including franchisee marketing, sourcing and qualification, sales and recruiting, franchisee relations, and general administration.

From 1983-2006, Thomas was responsible for a wide range of leadership positions with BellSouth and ATT and in 2007, Thomas joined Franlocity’s management team. He has extensive professional experience and proven success in sales, sales operations, technology and sales support. His expertise lies in negotiations and driving new businesses through financial modeling and strategic partnerships to increase profitability and return on investments. Thomas designed sales strategies, analyzed markets, developed competitive pricing analysis and negotiated complex agreements for Fortune 100 companies. He coached and led sales teams to retain and grow markets in a wide variety of industries.

Thomas holds a Master’s Certificate in Commercial Contract Management from The George Washington University/ ESI Intl. He attended Impact Learning Centers and is certified as a Human Performance Engineer, as well as a Communications and Leadership Skills Trainer, and Team Building Engineer.
He has been married for 22 years and lives in Atlanta with his wife and two daughters. He holds a Black Belt in Tang Soo Doo and was co-anchor on the TV show Walton Wellness.
